Guideacres #1 Guideacres #2

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers - fun for everyone at Guideacres!

GUIDEACRES is the County campsite of Girlguiding east Yorkshire. The eight acre site is well-drained and surrounded by woodland, and offers excellent camping facilities. (Please email for maps and location.)

The site is divided into four main areas by screens of young trees; each area is in itself large enough for several Patrols to camp. In order of distance from main facilities the sites are named Busby, Ferens, Revell and Nightingale.

The surrounding countryside offers some good walks on the gentle slopes of the Yorkshire Wolds, and Guideacres is less than twenty miles from the coast and within easy reach of the city of Hull and the historic town of Beverley, and not too far from the ancient city of York. There is easy access to well signed walks including the Wolds Way.

The Den : this is a large indoor activity room available to all campers. The hall has heating, a kitchen with hot water and a cooker and fridge/freezer facilities. There are also toilets and wash facilities, and disabled access to the building. The Den is available for day and evening activities.

The Lodge : this provision has a large room for overnight stays, day hire and meetings, and has a kitchen, toilet and disabled toilet.

Besides its primary use as a campsite, Guideacres is also available for Rainbow Activities, Brownie Revels, Activity Days, etc.
