The EYGA has nine qualified Archery
Leaders which means there are ample opportunities for Guides, Senior Section
and adults in the county, as well as visitors camping at Guideacres, to try
their hand at archery, either on a come-and-try-it basis or for short courses.
All equipment is provided and the site at Guideacres is such that we have
been able to create a safe archery range whilst not interfering with the day-to-day
camping activities on-site. Sessions need to be pre-booked
and groups limited to 12 girls, although larger groups can be split and the
others can try some of the other facilities available whilst they wait their
turn.
Most people book sessions for
weekends or summer evenings, but we do have a number of leaders available
to take groups on weekdays, during the day, if needed : these sessions may
be of particular interest to Trefoil Guild members.
