Index of ideas for Swaps

When travelling abroad on International visits you will find that you get many requests for "Swaps" from Guides and Girl Scouts from other countries. I would strongly recommend that you make and take with you a good selection of small items suitable as gifts and swaps, besides lots of cloth badges ('patches' as many countries refer to them.) You will be amazed at the variety you get offered in exchange! Anything showing the Union flag or something typical of your home region will be particularly sought after; red white and blue are common national colours so try to add something more distinctive than just the colours if you are making friendship bracelets or similar.

Here are a few ideas to get you started!

Beaded Yorkshire Rose

Beaded safety pin brooches

Red white and blue Celtic Knot pin

WAGGGS Friendship Knot

Yorkshire Piggy
